In the middle of 2024 my life took an unexpected turn. I’d been training for my first marathon and out of nowhere my health hit a wall. I went from the best shape of my life to navigating a complex recovery.

What followed was a long stretch of forced stillness—physically, mentally, and professionally. But I was lucky. I had the time and space to heal. And in that quiet I found clarity.

I realized I didn’t want to go back to working for someone else. I didn’t want to chase KPIs or live by dashboards. I wanted to work for myself—building real partnerships, offering high-quality recruiting solutions, and doing so in a way that felt authentic, intuitive, and human.

That’s why I started AustinWorks.

I bring years of experience in the Data, AI, and Marketing recruiting world, but what sets me apart isn’t just speed or industry knowledge—it’s honesty, depth, and long-term thinking. My clients don’t just get a recruiter. They get a sparring partner, a truth-teller, and someone who cares about the bigger picture.
